Altitude 1 200 m – All the charm of an authentic Savoyard hamlet nestling in an unspoiled setting at the entrance to the Vanoise National Park. France’s only ice climbing tower.
Champagny-en-Vanoise is a pretty cluster of hamlets with traditional dwellings on the mountainside. The south-facing site enjoys maximum sunshine which makes the village even more charming, with its baroque church and small streets with chapels and oratories. Thanks to its comfortable gondola, Champagny-en-Vanoise is linked to the Paradiski® area, guaranteeing good snow conditions for skiers. The site also has two children’s ski gardens. Another considerable asset is its swimming pool and spa, with a wellness area and a paddling pool for little ones. Finally, a tour of the Espace Glacialis is a must to find out all about the history of the region’s glaciers, with creative workshops for children.
Then, further on from the main village is the preserved valley of Champagny-le-Haut. A real postcard setting that offers a range of Nordic activities: cross-country skiing, sledging, ice climbing on France’s one and only ice tower(!), hiking on foot or on snowshoes and a sculpted ice grotto.
