Altitudes from 1,800 m to 2,050 m – Right up at the top, a constellation of 7 villages with different, complementary atmospheres, right in the heart of the ski area for direct access to all the fun of a mountain holiday.
In winter, as you climb up to La Plagne and the view finally emerges from the forest, the typical Alpine panorama will captivate you with its beauty, its openness and the snowy peaks for skiing and other winter sports. As you pass La Roche, you will see France’s one and only bobsleigh track, lit up at night and accessible to all adrenaline junkies.
Part of one of the world’s largest ski areas, the high-altitude area consists of 7 villages (Plagne Aime 2000, Plagne Centre, Plagne 1800, Plagne Villages, Plagne Soleil, Plagne Bellecôte and Belle Plagne), with hotels, chalets and residences. All the villages are linked by a free shuttle bus service. The one thing they all have in common apart from the red hat logo: immediate access to the mountain, to the great delight of all ski and nature enthusiasts. A must-do on or off skis is the “Live 3000” experience 3,080 m above sea level, with views of Mont Blanc and the Vanoise glaciers. The (white) icing on the cake is the rich catalogue of activities for all tastes: skating rinks, dog sledding, paragliding (with the option of acrobatics for the less faint-hearted), mountain biking on the snow, zip lines, snowshoe hikes through the unspoiled stone pine grove, toboggan descents, a night in a snow groomer, indoor or outdoor spa treatments and more…
In summer, the 7 altitude villages (Plagne Aime 2000, Plagne Centre, Plagne 1800, Plagne Villages, Plagne Soleil, Plagne Bellecôte and Belle Plagne, all linked by a free shuttle bus service) come alive with outdoor activities and the sound of whistling marmots. Each site has its own individual character and choice of shops and services. The hiking, mountain biking and e-bike trails offer an endless choice of places to go in unspoiled natural surroundings. With a bike park, ziplines, treetop adventure courses, bouncy structures, tennis, mini golf, swimming pools, outdoor spas and multi-activity courses, there is something for visitors of all ages… And even in summer, you can enjoy the “Live 3000” experience, 3 080 m above sea level, with views of Mont-Blanc and the Vanoise glaciers.
